Day Camp is a fun-filled week for Cub Scouts to work on rank advancement, explore the outdoors, have fun with other Scouts and continue the Scouting experience during the summer.
This is a Foothills District led event. As such, we’ll be able to provide Archery and BB’s. Tigers, Wolves and Bears can get a jump on badge requirements in the 2013-14 year. Webelos will complete four Activity Pins – Sportsman, Scientist, Handyman & Engineer.
In addition to that, all of the Scouts will work on crafts, participate in sports, watch presentations from local organizations during lunch time and get to make new friends.
You can drop your children off at camp in the morning or work out a carpool arrangement with others from your Pack. Each child will receive two T-shirts, which they must wear (it’s our camp uniform). Scouts must bring lunch and snacks.

We need volunteers. This is a volunteer led and run event only. Unlike Cub Adventure, where there is a paid staff running the events, for our District Day Camp, these leaders are moms and dads who who are putting in time to help run a camp for our scouts. In return, we are required to supply a 5 day volunteer for every 4 scouts attending camp.
“But I can’t take 5 days off to attend camp!” YOU DON’T HAVE TO! If you can volunteer to help for any portion of the week, that goes towards allowing more scouts to attend. For example, if we have someone who can volunteer 3 days, and a second person who can volunteer 2 days, that is the equivalent of a 5 day volunteer = 4 more scouts can go!
Also, if you have a Boy Scout looking to rack up service hours, they can attend as a Youth Volunteer (the number of Youth Volunteers does not go towards the number of adult volunteers needed).
As of March 25th, we have 2 (two) 5 day volunteers who are going. If you can help, please let me know as soon as possible so we can allow more scouts to sign up and go to camp.
If you have any questions, please contact Robert Payne (email@example.com) or Dan Betts (firstname.lastname@example.org). Thank you.
