It is time to begin signing up for Fall Family Camping!  This year, it will be held at the Bert Adams BSA Campgrounds at from November 1 -3.

You can sign up and pay for FFC at our paypal website here:

gmpack471.webs.com

Scroll  down until you see Fall Family Camping, and add the correct amount of scouts, siblings, and parents attending.  The cost is $25.00 per scout and participating sibling and $15.00 for parents and non-participating siblings.  Siblings 5 and under are free.

You will also need to fill out a copy of the Medical Forms Parts A and B.  Many of you have completed that, and we will coordinate with those who need it by the time of the campout.

You can find more information about Fall Family Camping, including the medical form, maps to Bert Adams, and a suggested camp list at this page here.

Registration starts now, and we are asking that all families who are going to sign up by Friday, October 4th.  We have to provide the District with number of family members who are attending.

Between now and the campout, we will also be asking for volunteers to assist with the camp and coordinating meals.

For our first time camping parents, we provide Friday snacks, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast.  We make sure everyone is well fed, but that takes volunteers to help.

A typical schedule is arriving Friday night between 4-10 p.m., getting the campsite setup and providing a snack only (many times the Order of the Arrow is there on Friday night selling a hot dog dinner), otherwise please remember to eat before arriving.  There is typically some activity Friday night to keep the kids busy, then it is lights out at 11 p.m.

Saturday is a full day of activities, with flags typically by 7:30 / 8 a.m., then a morning rotation of events and games, break for lunch, afternoon rotation, break for dinner, then a campfire that Saturday night.  Saturday activity uniform is whatever is comfortable, while Saturday night campfire is in scout uniform. Then Sunday breakfast, flags, breakdown the campsite and return home.

We will have more information as we get closer to the event, but please remember to sign up now!
